It’s a great sign of someone’s credibility when, even with you disagree with them, you still respect their opinion. Jashua the Anarchist is one of those people for me. Folks who know us or follow the two of us on twitter know we don’t often agree, but I have yet to miss an episode of his series, Anarchy at the Movies.

If you’re on this site you likely know how good Marc Mues is. But if you’re only watching his wrestling content you’re missing out. His music reviews are some of the best and this review in particular may be the best he’s ever made.

The Video Game Years – 1977

The Video Game Years is the newest show for http://retrowaretv.com/ and it’s also one of their most exciting. With a really interesting approach and a high degree of polish, this show has me very interested. Each episode runs down the important video game  events of a particular year. Plus, one of the guest commentators is Roo of Clan of the Gray Wolf (http://www.clanofthegraywolf.com/) so it has that going for it as well.

Spazzmaster – Top 20 Favorite Attractions at Walt Disney World Resort

Spazzmaster’s love of all things Disney-park related is unabashed and truly infectious, as evidence by his Disneyland countdown from two years ago (check it out here: http://tinyurl.com/75796rf ). This time, Spazz shifts his focus to the Disney World Resort (my favorite of the two) for another great countdown.

Todd in the Shadows & The Rap Critic – Runaway

Kanye West has the tendency to shift back and forth on the spectrum frequently between punchline and legitimate artist. With his film/music video montage “Runaway” (which he directed), he one again slides over to the former. Todd in the Shadows and The Rap Critic take a look at this confusing mess in their review.

Confused Matthew – The Departed Reviews

Confused Matthew is, in many respects, everything that a reviewer ought to be: knowledgeable, credible, entertaining and insightful. He’s been making thoughtful film reviews for the pat few years now and i’s hard not to respect both his approach and his opinions. The Departed is one of my favorite films of the last decade but I still enjoy watching Matthew’s critique f the picture because, as with nearly all of his reviews, he managed to bring a level of insight that I had never considered before.

MatPat – Game Theory: Modern Warfare

This fun little series takes some time with various video game franchises and gives a small (and entertaining) lecture on a related topic (What type of frog is in Frogger, are there any religious themes in Earthbound, etc). At times, the series can feel a bit “youtube-y” but for the most part it’s usually a worthwhile watch.

Spoony – Ultima 8 Review

People who know me know that I cannot stomach Spoony’s movies reviews. Frankly, I think they may be some of the worst movie reviews I have ever seen from a major reviewer. But I still think that his video game reviews are superb. He touches on games I never knew much about and really has a knack of capturing what’s working and what isn’t and has a good level of polish to it all. His latest series focuses on the Ultima franchise and his latest review is of the maligned Ulima 8: Pagan.
